Tarangire National park is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Visitors to the park in the June to November dry season can expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant's gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog.
Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's most famous national park, a vast ecosystem home to over three million large mammals. Its vegetation is dominated by open grasslands, but during severe droughts, it can almost completely transform into desert. In wetter areas, water centipedes dominate. The central part of the park is dominated by vast expanses of acacia woodland-savannah. Hilly vegetation, dense woodlands, and some gallery forests cover much of the northern part of the park.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1979. The reserve is a vast plateau volcanic area, bordering the Serengeti National Park in the west and Lake Manyara National Park in the east, covering an area of 80,944 square kilometers. The area includes the famous Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge and the Empakaai Crater, which has become a deep lake.
Citing concerns about the preservation of the natural value of the NCA, starting in 2021, the Tanzanian government designed and then started implementing a plan to relocate all of the Maasai people in Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Msomera, a village 600 kilometers away. This is considered a voluntary relocation, however, Human Rights Watch reports that the government has acted in a coercive way without accordance to the principle of free, prior, and informed consent (FPIC).
Lake Manyara National Park is located in northern Tanzania. Stretching 50 km at the base of the rust-and-gold cliffs of the 600m-deep East African Rift Valley, Lake Manyara is a gem. With dense animal viewing, Manyara is a virtual miniature version of a Tanzanian safari.

Always keep your valuables with you, avoid displaying cash, and when using your personal credit card for hotel expenses, make sure to confirm the safety of the payment equipment.
